Help our kids be kindergarten ready!

Here's Ruby, ready for kindergarten!

This fall, you can give kids the tools – not just the supplies – they need to be successful at school.

At the Minnesota Literacy Council, we know how important it is for kids to be truly prepared for school. That's why we started Open Door Preschool. Here, children ages 3-5 learn in a literacy-rich environment while their parents take our English or GED classes across the hall. It's a whole family approach that has worked for the K'Paw family, especially little Ruby. She has started kindergarten this fall as a confident, curious classroom leader, thanks in no small part to her time at Open Door.

Now, Ruby's classmates need your help.

We want to make sure they are just as prepared for kindergarten as Ruby. It's important to our preschool volunteers and Arlington Hills Lutheran Church, too. So they've joined forces to match all gifts made to our preschool.

Through November 1, every "back to school" donation you make to Open Door Preschool will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $17,650!
