Implementing Volunteer Navigators Information Session

Dates:
Monday, January 22, 2018 - 10:00am to 11:00am
Event Location:
Minnesota Literacy Council
700 Raymond Avenue
Suite 180
Saint Paul,, MN 55114

Come to this one hour session to learn how volunteer navigators can benefit your program. Navigators can be thought of as a mix of mentor, coach, cheerleader, and guidance counselor. They have proven to be effective at increasing retention, aiding in confidence building, and creating connections. The Minnesota Literacy Council has developed and piloted a training program geared towards giving volunteers the skills they need to be competent navigators, ready to work with you and your students. We look forward to giving you the knowledge and guidance you need to implement volunteer navigators in your program as early as this March.
