Teaching Citizenship, Part One: Process, Policies and Paperwork

Date: Tuesday, February 5, 2019

Time: 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.

Location: Minnesota Literacy Council main office, 700 Raymond Avenue, Suite 180, Saint Paul, MN 55114

Cost: There is no fee for this training, but your tax-deductible donation will support our tutor training program and literacy learners across Minnesota!

Description: Note: If you are new to teaching citizenship, please plan to attend both Part One and Part Two!

**This training is for current citizenship volunteers or for those who would like to learn more about the citizenship process. We currently do not have any citizenship openings for new volunteers.**

Part One provides an overview of the naturalization process, the typical timeline for becoming a citizen, and the paperwork that is involved. You’ll become familiar with the different parts of the citizenship interview and its content, and you’ll see a video of a mock interview.

To Register: Your $10 or $20 donation will help us do more to share the power of learning! Click "Add" next to one of the two "Register with a donation" options to make a tax-deductible gift. If you do not wish to make a donation, choose "Register for free."
