Increasing Our Cultural Responsiveness

Date: Wednesday, March 6, 2019

Time: 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Location: Minnesota Literacy Council main office, 700 Raymond Avenue, Suite 180, Saint Paul, MN 55114

Cost: There is no fee for this training, but your tax-deductible donation will support our tutor training program and literacy learners across Minnesota!

Description: Our unique lived experiences, values and beliefs all comprise our individual culture which informs and influences the ways in which we communicate with one another. Through experiential learning, group discussion and self-reflection, participants in this workshop will explore their own culture and deepen their understanding of certain dimensions of culture. Participants will also have the opportunity to discuss the role that implicit bias plays in our interactions and how we can slow down our thinking to create more culturally responsive and inclusive connections with people from all backgrounds. Participants who complete this workshop will receive a Certificate of Completion from Equity Alliance MN.

To Register: Your $10 or $20 donation will help us do more to share the power of learning! Click "Add" next to one of the two "Register with a donation" options to make a tax-deductible gift. If you do not wish to make a donation, choose "Register for free."
