Presented By: Kathleen O'Connell and Luanne Teller

According to the 2016 report, Foundational Skills in the Service Sector, there are 20 million American workers employed in the retail, restaurant, hospital, and hotel industries who lack the foundational literacy skills that are needed in their service sector jobs.  Workplace education programs can be part of the solution. Contrary to popular misconceptions about rapid turnover among employees in the service sector, the majority of workers have been with their current employer for at least three years, and more than a third have been with their current employers for six or more years.  In this session, we will share our experience using the Massachusetts model for workplace education. Learn how we identified the employer partner, designed and carried out a needs assessment, implemented the program, and evaluated results. We will also discuss the key role that the joint planning and evaluation team plays as the foundation for a successful program.

Webinar space is limited to 500 and provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
