As a child of the 80s and going through the internet boom of the 90s it’s only natural that when I wanted information I would “Google it”.  I then made my way blogs and podcasts as ways of consuming information but eventually there came a time I seemed to fall short in finding what I was looking for.  At first I jumped into LinkedIn and found Adult Educator groups that were great but after a while noticed that the posts were getting further and further apart.

I totally get that teachers have time restrictions and that the world likely doesn’t need another post about iPads for the time being, but that didn’t stop me from wanting to learn more about what people were doing. Thus, I turned to Twitter.  While at times it can seem like drinking from a fire hose, it is the place where the action is at for up to the minute news.  The secret to keeping yourself from being overwhelmed is just to dip into the stream a couple of times a week and grab a couple few things that interest you and get out again.
