Mayor's Day of Recognition for National Service

AmeriCorps and SeniorCorps members from Minneapolis and Saint Paul joined together at the Turf Club on Tuesday night, April 1st to celebrate their year of service. Free food and drink, live music, a photo booth, and our city leaders! Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges and Saint Paul Mayor Chris Coleman expressed their gratitude for the hard work each of us do to make a difference in our Twin Cities communities. The CEO of the Corporation of National and Community Service, Wendy Spencer, also gave many praises to the culture of service in Minnesota. There are over 1,300 AmeriCorps members serving in the Twin Cities. Wow! High-fives all around.

Many thanks go out to the "Super Sponsors" of the day! Over 50 businesses in the Twin Cities offered free or discounted items and services to AmeriCorps and SeniorCorps members. Hope you received copious amounts of free local coffee!
