Google Applied Digital Skills Cohort

The Minnesota Literacy Council is excited to announce a partnership with Google to offer a four-session webinar cohort on teaching Google Applied Skills in the ABE classroom. This professional development opportunity is aimed at teachers with some experience using Google Applied Skills who would like to implement the curriculum in their classroom.

If you are looking for ways to connect with other educators and learn in conjunction with your peers on how to adapt the Google curriculum to best suit the needs of adult learners, then this is the webinar series for you!

The cohort will be led by Minnesota Literacy Council’s own Susan Wetenkamp-Brandt, Senior Manager for Education Technology and Digital Literacy. Susan has been working with technology and online learning in ABE for over 15 years.  She provides training, technical support, and consultation to ABE practitioners on best practices in technology integration, digital literacy, and distance learning. Susan will be joined by Janet Maragioglio, ABE curriculum developer at Google.

The webinar cohort will start in January 2020. The dates and times* are as follows:

  • Tuesday January 21st 2:00pm – 3:30pm
  • Tuesday February 18th,2:00pm- 3:30pm
  • Tuesday March 17th, 2:00pm – 3:30pm
  • Tuesday April 21st, 2:00pm – 3:30pm

Applications will be accepted through December 16th, 2019. Applications will be reviewed and acceptance notifications issued by December 22, 2019.
