technology

We are always looking for better ways to teach technology to staff and students.

Throughout the years, Microsoft has made a number of "not so helpful" changes to their operating systems , adding Snipping Tool is not one of those changes.  Those familar with Jing or Snagit   will recognize Snipping Tool as a very easy to use desktop clipping tool. One of the primary differences is that Snipping Tool is already built into your Windows 7 and Window10 system.  If you  have not used it before,  access it by clicking on your Start Button and start typing in Snipping Tool.

It's hard to be great at everything.

All these session will take place on Friday December 1st.

Today, more than 60 million Americans still aren't using the Internet at home. Most organizations have neither the know-how nor resources to address key barriers of digital literacy, awareness of affordable options for access and devices, or even availability of digital trainers.

Software:

Audacity
Audacity is a free, full-featured audio recording software program for Windows or Mac.  You can download and install it from http://web.audacityteam.org/. Using Audacity allows you to make longer recordings and edit your recordings as much as you like.  Once you have created your audio files, to distribute them to learners you would need to upload them to a web-based service like Chirbit or iPadio.
